How to Scan Paper Documents Directly to Microsoft Word
Looking to scan documents and convert them to Microsoft Word? With the right copier, you can do this. For example, there are two models in the Canon series: The imageRUNNER ADVANCE 7200 series and the imageRUNNER ADVANCE 5200 series. With this free feature of the copier, you can scan your documents to a Word document. If you want to take advantage of this feature, go to your copier and hit the “Scan and Send” button. After you have done that, click the button in the middle section of the screen. You will see a box called OOXML, select it.
After you have done that, it will open up two different file types that it can be scanned to. You can either send it to Microsoft Powerpoint or Microsoft Word. Choose Word and press okay. After that, it will begin to scan your document. The Toshiba e-Studio copiers also have this ability with a software known as “Re-Rite.” Konica Minolta also has this option using an accessory add-on.
